The Secretary of State for the Home Department had acted lawfully in granting three asylum seekers discretionary leave to remain in the United Kingdom as she had not been under any legal duty to consider their applications under the government's case resolution programme by a particular date, and under which programme the asylum seekers had alleged that a grant of indefinite leave to remain would have been the likely outcome.
